Avi Pearce Brings World
Beauty To Wellesley Sound
Avi Pearce 2008
WSS: What is your genre? World music / pop / ambient / what are
the Asian elements in your voice ?
AP: I play music with many different genres. The strong genre is
World fusion Pop, and many other. My style of playing music is free
style and somewhat classical. I am able to play music genres that
are beyond the box. This is how I create much more interest and
attract different audiences.
I must thank Jeff McCulloch for his efforts, it has been a great
experience at Wellesley Sound studios. My first album was developed
at Wellesley sound Studios with Jeff McCulloch.
Jeff is a great music producer, he has done an amazing job on mixing,
tailoring all instrumentation and engineering sound for my first
album "Infinite Love" to the professional level and industry
expectations.
I am Canadian and my background is Vietnamese. I've been
professionally trained and sing in English. Though I’m aware
and influenced by International music, I compose and create the
sensation of multiple flavors, intended to stand out in the music
industry. I would describe my voice as being Soprano, with a 3 octave
range.
WSS: Can you tell us about the tracks you've created?
AP: My music education is to compose. I read and write music scores,
as well as arranging music charts for many instruments in the orchestra. |
I create the music based on life experiences that include mood,
emotion, real live story. Sometimes it is from the distinctive atmosphere
or it could be just what audiences might want to hear. That’s
why I like to create enriched entertainment and refreshing music.
WSS: Can you describe one of your listeners?
AP: I have a wide ranging audience world wide, based on fans that
are young girls to mature, working people. My album has been requested
and air-played world wide, the World album "Infinite Love"
achieved the hit big hit # 6 TOP 10 charts in Kamloops BC, Canada
on CFBX 92.5 FM.
WSS: What are your upcoming plans for you and your music?
AP: My new World album "LIVES" will be produced within
a few months and again I’m hoping to continue working with
Jeff at Wellesley Sound Studios.
WSS: What message would you like to give to your listeners today?
AP: I would like to thank all my friends, and fans across North
America and internationally. It has been amazing support.
And there will be more exciting creations coming. ~ WSS

Blacko
Music Makes Toronto / Nigeria Pipeline Dance |
| WSS:
We're here with Blacko (Dele 'Blacko-Blackface' Ajayi). Tell
us about your new work and songs here at Wellesley.
B: My new project that is going on here at Wellesley Sound
is something I plan to release next year 2007 sometime in
the summer, putting something together for the African people
because I think its about time. I'm a Producer, Singer and
a Writer, so I just decided to do something for my people.
I can work the vibe and the African thing all together, done
with professional people like Jeff in the studio here 'cause
I want it to be right. It's going to be a great album.
WSS: Totally. Is there a message you want to convey in this
project?
B: I'm trying to lay down a legacy, perhaps I'm trying to
make E-street for people, trying to step up the game there
in the sense that our music will be accepted in the Western
world at the same time. Mostly we make music back home just
for our community, but what I'm trying to do is a mixture
of Western world, lyrics, piano, rythms, and African things.
WSS: What about the song we are hearing here in MP3?
B: This song, in Nigeria already is called: "There is
Light". The track is E-pop but the lyrics are my Language.
We're actually working on a second single which will go down
now.
WSS: Excellent. What would you like to say to your Fans in
Nigeria. Canada and USA?
B: Blacko is about to do big things, you know, you should

expect some more and more and more - I won't stop. For next
year, I will drop some hot, hot tracks, that will have impact
in their life, not just an album for E-street, something that
they can relate to. I love my friends, to do whatever for
them, get them smiling, dancing you know, let them get their
dancing shoes on, thats what Blacko's all about. ~

White
Cowbell Oklahoma Rocks Wellesley Sound! |
WS: We're talking with White Cowbell Oklahomas' Clem and Jesse.
Can you tell us a bit about the band and yourselves.
Clem: White Cowbell Oklahoma, my name is Clem I play electic
lead vocals and electric lead guitar and
over there's Jesse he plays electric lead
organ and electric lead synthesizer of the Gods.
WS: ... Sweet, any relation to Jesse James?
Jesse: No, no, Uncle Jesse (the Great Bearded One)
Clem: ... actually, Jesses' forefathers incorporate the Jameisons
Whisky Distillery in the Republic of Ireland, but we shortened
it to 'Jesse'.
WS: What is up at Wellesley Sound?
Clem: Its great to be back in Boliva, we always record in
Bolivia, we got on a plane and here we are.
We love Wellesley Sound, and we brought our tapes
and we recorded out music upon it, and
they got lots of sliders and knobs and lights and things
as long as theres lots of lights we know that
its money well spent, and
they got gigantic speakers,
Jesse: The entire budget was spent on LED Mute Buttons for
board.
Clem: This is the first Rock and Roll record mastered on
a Wax Cylinder.
WS: Its coming back.
Clem: We think, ya know, its coming back, ... its got to,
and when the ROCKOPALYPSE comes, like we predicted, electricity
will be only for the priveledged so wax cylinders will be
the most portable format.

White
Cowbell Oklahoma in concert. |
Clem: I think I feel a ROCKOPALYPSE comin!
Jesse: a ROCKOPALYPSE comin!
WS: Do you have a name for the new CD?
Clem: "... Casa Diablo"
Jesse: Casa Diablo? oh my God, what does that mean?
Clem: House of Devil or "Marauding on the Seas of Fuck",
but we think our Wallmart Demographic would not decide on
it.
WS: How would you like to sum up for your fans?
Clem: The initiated White Cowbell Oklahoma
congregation knows full well what theyre getting into, but
they will be
surprized, amused and amazed by "Casa Diablo by the White
Cowbell Oklahoma Rythm and Blues Rock and Roll Experience".
The uninitated will be dazzled amazed and astounded
by the magnificence of "Casa Diablo" and
White Cowbell Oklahoma.
